Yes. It's on HBO. But you can get a free trial through Amazon Prime. You'll love it.

American Gods is originally a best selling novel by a favorite of mine, Neil Gaiman. So you can still read the original novel, Darkwing. :)

The book was a good read, (Neil always is) lots of Norse gods and such.

Can't say I will be watching the series though, as sometimes books don't translate as well to screen in, my personal opinion. But super cool it got made into a show!! The hubby will be excited. 2hp

If you like American Gods, definitely check out Stardust. A super cool fantasy/supernatural movie adpatation of yet another one of Gaiman's master pieces.

Gaiman also did a mini-series of "Neverwhere," which featured (among many others) an actress who had appeared in a James Bond movie, an actor who would later be cast as Dr. Who, another actor with a small speaking part in "Inception," a Scottish actress who would later appear in "Vanilla Sky," and one other actor with a recurring role in "Game of Thrones."

It's an ensemble cast, in a very, very good way. Oh, and the score was composed by the one and only Brian Eno.

The book is even better.

I've only just started reading American Gods and it's such a fun book that I have a hard time putting it down. Most of the characters are very amusing and Odin needs an asprin.
