Moon

So while going out i looked at the moon and it was going extremly fast 2dz for a couple seconds then it slowed down, family members saw it to.

Was it near the horizon or a building or tree etc?

When I look at a star through a small hole in a lace curtain for example it seems to move much more quickly than I expect. I used to have a telescope and I could never really keep a star, or the moon in view, it moved so fast.
When you stand back and have a grand perspective they seem to move slowly but when you have an object next to them, you can see how fast they actually move. Could it have been that effect by any chance? (Not sure what the alternative could be.)
