While the first volume will not be published until 2010 you will need to start compiling your notes on investigations right now! You can submit as many as you wish and more details will be forthcoming.

Right now the first edition is slated to be published in June 2010 and first editions will be printed in hardcover in limited quantity while second edition paperbacks and e-copies will be more plentiful.

June seems a long time away but trust me it will be here before you know it and now is a great time to start investigating & earning the experience & notes under your belt.

You can submit notes only but of course photographs are encouraged especially if you capture anything on film. If you have video and not photographs the text of your notes will be published along with a web address where readers can view your video be it YouTube or directly on the CH site. You can submit under your name or the name of your group be it CH or another.

I want to investigate, but I don't know of any places around here. Is there another list I can look at?

And, if you investigate any private residences you cannot list the number & street address without the owner's permission. If you do not have their permission to list their address just list it here as "Private Residence" and keep the exact address as part of your notes.

The one I want to investigate is a commercial building. The owner is asking for credentials. Is there anything from CH I can show them?

You can:

1. Identify yourself as a CH Paranormal Investigator
2. Direct them to the website
3. Give them our contact information (email, mailing address, phone number)

Usually what I do is I call a place we're interesting in investigating, if it is private property, and I say "Hi, my name is Magnolia, I am the owner of a paranormal website called Creepy Hollows and I would like to discuss with you the possibility of myself & my husband coming to look at your property because of its paranormal reputation. Have you experienced anything on the property yourself?". And that opens the door for conversation. Usually they will come look at the site, email me or call me back and 9 times out of 10 they say we can take a look. A few people will ask you to sign a liability waiver in case you get hurt while investigating.
