being part german, i come from a family that has many a cookie recipe. if we don't have it then we will invent it. these are my brother's favorite cookies.
1 six ounce package of chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4 dozen mini marshmallows
melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips with butter over low heat. cool completely. mix remaining ingredients (EXCEPT MARSHMALLOWS) including the melted chocolate. place on ungreased cookie sheets. place one marshmallow in center of each cookie. bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 7-8 minutes, checking frequently. remove immediately from sheets to cooling racks. i think this recipe (only because it says 4 dozen marshmallows) makes four dozen cookies?
