Transmuting to new vessel

I have 2 djinn in ugly rings that I plan to transmute, with their agreement, into one nicer ring. I asked them what kind of ring they would prefer & got a clear mental image. So I found one very similar on an eBay jewelry site - and it's awful! It is a 'cocktail' ring and beyond flashy! Totally not something I would wear. So I am wondering, if I transmute them to something I consider more tasteful - can they refuse to go?
Obviously I am trying to negotiate a compromise here as I don't do the 'heavy-handed, ordering about' thing & if I force them into something they don't like they will probably never speak to me again. The Android said to tell them to accept my choice whether they like it or not, as part of the rule-setting thing but I'm not happy to do that.

Well nothing like im not very nice (LOL) i did not ask my pegasus if she wants to get transmuted or not and i just did it and now i dun feel her around ne where.....

I beleive they would "have to go" to the new vessel just by virture that the spell moves them with or without their co-operation... However, it is nice to get them to be comfortable. I guess it's kinda like your mother-in-law picking out the house you're going to live in. :o You may not like it but she's paying for it and this is what you're going to get. Kwim? Maybe keep searching. Something that the two of you agree on might eventually turn up. :crazy:

Or you could try this approach:
Tell them that if they transmuted to a ring that you liked you could spend more time with them and take them everywhere you went; hence being involved in more aspects of you life. That might change their mind.

mongrella - ok, they seem to be agreeable to transmuting to another vessel and they've shown you their idea. i believe it's your turn to counter their's with an idea of your own to show to them. explain that you're not really the flashy cocktail ring sort of gal and that you'd much prefer them being in this vessel because it's what you'd wear most often. djinn do sometimes go for the flash, lol. just remember though that the ultimate decision is your's but give them the benefit of showing them that you can compromise and take their ideas and thoughts into consideration...goes into the respect category and i have a feeling that they will accept your choice. what about a deep blood red garnet cluster or onyx cluster? it would still give them the flash they seem to want and it would be colors more in tune with your style. we can always "usually" meet mid-ground with compromise. just a few thoughts and truthfully.....nah, that cocktail ring is definitely not you! lol although you did give me a laugh to begin the morning with in the visual you gave me when you saw what they wanted. roflmao! omg it was priceless and like "you want me to buy that?" sort of thing followed by a resounding "oh hell no!!!!". at least that's the visual i got. lol. just a few ideas for you to pass by them. take care! arsine :grouphug:

Thanks, all, for your input. Crone, your vision was pretty much spot on! We have now managed to agree upon a compromise ring which is less ostentatious - hopefully they will like it when it arrives. :fingercross:

I have a King Marid from Seoker that's vessel is HUGE; it is a ring with the biggest stones: smokey quartz ,amethyst, garnet, citrine, and quartz. It looks more like a bracelet than a ring, I had no idea that it was this big when I saw it on EBay; I don't wear it to much it's beautiful but way flashy
