I'm Putting this in the dark arts section because the creature is extremely dark, bordering on black. This male canine has been hanging around me for nine days now, causing excruciating headaches, to the point where I can't concentrate and am getting short tempered with people. He does not seem to understand what I am saying because when I try to communicate, he just cocks his head and looks at me. He does not try to tone down his overpowering energy when asked to do so.

It is one of the largest canines I have ever seen. It is larger than a Fenrir and smaller than a Cerberus, and twice as dark as both. It looks like a cross breed of a Siberian husky and an alaskan malamute. The body is built of a husky with the muscular build, but the head, tail and ears are of the malamute, shorter and denser than the husky. The fur is very dense and silver, and shines in the moonlight, without any visible markings. The eyes are almond shaped and honey brown. The tail is like the malamute, instead of arching up, like the husky, hangs down in an arch like the malamute.

He seems to have some magical powers, but appears to not be able to communicate. He also seems to be somewhat of a friendly canine and can can grow or shrink his size or change his shape somewhat. Is this a new discovery or some kind of a demonics or something else? How can I either get rid of it or get it to tone down its energy before my head explodes?

The first thing I think of is a Hellhound. That, or it could be a Hound of Annwn which is the opposite of a Cwn Annwn. It's basically a dark art spirit of a hound, the hound can look like anything and I think they can change shape and size as it sees fit. Both are highly magical and are experts in the art of psychic magic. They basically are really good at helping you with the dead. I have a Cwn Annwn and what you're describing sounds like they're polar opposite. The other thing I've noticed about my Cwn Annwn is that he's empathetic more than verbal. Not much for talking and that's what your spirit sounds like. He might be an empathetic or telepathic being and doesn't understand verbal communication. So, if I had to make a solid guess I would think it's a Hound of Annew which is a welsh spirit.

If you have a companion who can help you with identification and communication I'd ask them for assistance. You can ask your companions to help translate what your trying to say to this being.

The first thing I think of is a Barghest or Amarok. Barghest are very no-nonsense and mine looks very wolf-ish to me. I don’t have an Amarok, but their encyclopedia entry says they are a giant wolf who eat humans, but as spirits can provide night visions and stronger connections to the moon.

Sounds sort of like the Barghest in energy/attitude, albeit my Barghest companion appears a lot more fearsome than a husky or malamute.

Here might be a way to 'test' that theory, try the CH Encyclopedia's suggestion of how to subdue Barghests:
"Place the vessel of the Barghest near a small tablespoon of brown sugar it works the quickest and best, they become subdued and submissive. Only use this technique if you feel your Barghest is becoming too strong for your liking"

Since it is unbound I guess you'd just, with intention, whip out some brown sugar. Which I think sounds pretty funny, but let's see what happens.

Being an empath, wouldn't he understand me me when I use telepathy to try to communicate with him?

This is a lot more fearsome than a husky or malamute or any wild canine we know of on this planet. It is way darker than my barghist, but pulling out brown sugar to try subduing it is not a bad idea. Will this work with unbounds? Thanks for the idea. \./

If you already have experience with Barghests then I'd suppose if this was a Barghest as well you'd be able to tell, so maybe not what we are looking at. Then again the manifestation of a being can be very different depending upon where they are at on the 'scale' of dark arts, and age also makes a difference. It is possible if you have a super ancient presence of a Hellhound, Barghest, Fairy Hound or any other similar entity that it's going to manifest with much darker energy, look different, etc. compared to one of a later generation.

But keep us updated, I hope you're able to come to some sort of agreement with the fella.

Me, too, Vipera, me, too. I will give details as they become available in this thread. If he goes away, I will disclose that as well.
