Public Thanks to Helios

I don't enjoy participating on forums as much as I used to, but as per agreement with my workings to the Sun and Helios I am giving a public thank you to him.

Helios so far has been both eager and patient when it comes to me pathworking with the solar energy current in my goal for greater power and knowledge. Engaging in both alchemy and meditative practices with Helios has brought an immediate and noticeable effects on my energy and psyche. In this time of year where winter brings energies of death and stasis, but my pathworking has reinvigorated me to push forward with my spiritual goals even further.

Right now my usual offerings are cakes, milk, honey, and white candles. Sun water is something I've also been offering to him, which also acts as an personal exercise to strengthen my connection to the solar current. Hymns and personal poetry are also a great way to connect to him. Not only do they act as offerings but they can be used as invocation methods to help create a stronger bond to the deity you're working with. Other exercises that he has taught me is what I call the sun assumption meditation; diving deep into the core of the sun itself and assuming its power and authority. This way you're also integrating its qualities into yourself more actively.

One final exercise that I found was invoking and visualizing six total suns in six directions (north, west, south, east, above and below) while invoking Helios' name three times in each direction to both open and empower the solar energy currents more effectively. And then proceeding to merge these suns into the core of your being for maximum effect. I found it to be an incredibly adaptive exercise, because the energy after could be used for personal alchemy, cleanse and banishment, or released into your reality to manifest desires.

I am no expert on on working with deities by far but I would highly recommend Helios for those who are interested in understanding the sun that is present in our lives no matter the time of year, and he has so much to offer and teach you if you're ready to take it on with him. You only need to be patient when working with the sun to incorporate it into every aspect of your life, as the sun is always present in every phase of our life as well.

This took me by surprise to see Helios' name on the front page.

I really do have a great love and reverence for Lord Helios, he's such an loving and guiding presence in my life. He's a Titan who is not just a giver of light and warmth, but also an upholder of authority, justice, and law. He is the one who grants us vision (and I swear I've had far more premonitions because of him) and he is the witness and keeper of our oaths and vows.

He is also quite a seasonal deity, which is to saw he appears differently to me between summer and winter. In the summer, he's.... Radiant, muscular, and powerful; crowned and wearing a gold-lined purple toga, long blonde hair and skin shining with golden warmth. In the winter, he's wrapped in purple robes, his hair is dark and tied up, he feels more distant, but he's still very much present. (The first time I saw him in winter, I confused him with another God altogether).

Helios is such a great, mighty, and loving presence, I'm glad that people are open to his lessons and energies. ^_^

My solar pathworking with Helios continues. So far I've made great progress with my own alchemical workings and gained traction with the solar current outside my interactions with Helios. He has requested I find another hymn to dedicate to him, but I figured I would create one from my experiences with him and put one here.

HELIOS, O' LORD OF THE SUN

Hello Amnesia and Echofalls,

I am intrigued and interested to know more about Helios.
Recently I was working with Circe, and reading more about her through Wikipedia.

I know she is the daughter of Helios, and when I opened up his tab, my first thought/intuition was suddenly “he’s my grandfather.” I have never had such thoughts pop up so clearly like this when I was looking at other immortals. Of course he’s not my actual grandfather, but it could be that I’m related to him in my bloodline.

I have only ever worked with Circe and no other Greek immortals. Circe adopted me via a reverse adoption, to guide me and help me with my magic and psychic abilities. I feel my path in life is much rooted in magic, as one of my past life I was a witch, which makes sense that I would be working with her.

I’m genuinely curious what working with Helios is like. You mentioned visions and premonitions, perhaps that might be one way, as I am a vivid dreamer and have always received messages from dreams and those sort of ‘Deja Vu’ kind of feelings when something happened, and I remember dreaming about it before.

If anyone has worked with Helios before, I would love to know more about your experiences and how is it like to work with him, thank you

I'll admit my psychic abilities aren't always the most reliable. But from repeated experiences he brings a certain oomph to him, one that noticeable in solar energy and divine power. His presence brings a bright light in the room, colors of yellow and orange, and sun rays coming out from his aura naturally.

Personality-wise, I would describe him as very patient and even having a fatherly disposition with a strong masculine presence. When I say masculine, I don't mean "Wow I'm very tough, prideful, and I don't mind showing off"--no. It's almost a cool radiating confidence from him that brings an air of wisdom, and helps me to approach him better too.

It's hard to explain since he'll most likely interact differently with you than me. That's because I imagine you'll be working with him more closely than I am. In my pathworking I tend to be more independent: meditating and creating my own schedule, writing down notes in my journal, and generally working with the Sun on my own. It's only when I actually need guidance or supervision I evoke him and he brings a great deal of advice His approach towards me is like a calm strength, there's an underlying power to his words but he conveys them in a way that is gentle and encouraging.

It's interesting you said "grandfather" towards Helios, as that's what I call my own distant ancestor whom I have a blood tie with too (not Helios, a different one).

It kind of makes me envision him to be a warm kind grandfather I'm going to have in my life, if I ever decide to connect with him!

You got me curious! Is that how it is working with your own 'grandfather' distant ancestor? Do you feel a closer bond since you are related to him?

I won't reveal too much. I do feel close to him, but I really only call on him when I do need assistance or help. And when I call him he almost always responds immediately with energy. He has his own responsibilities of course but I'm always grateful to have his ear when I do, albeit I don't really invite him to the typical stuff I do with my own spirit family. However I am sure to give him my gratitude and the occasional offerings.

Wanted to send out another message for Helios the Sun God, as promised for helping me attain the job I needed for this transition.

I was a bit worried for this job interview, and although I was nervous, I could feel his presence nearby and at some points felt certain bursts of energy (warmth and resilience) supporting me. Just a few days ago I received a confirmation that I got the position and was grateful for the results. Besides that I also imagine he was working in the background to make sure I was giving off a good impression to my interviewer/employer to ensure my success.

Helios has also asked me to say more about my kind of work with him, and what kind of services he can give to those who are willing to work and approach him as well. It pertains mostly towards energy work, or if you want to be specific (alchemy), where I have Helios as a guide and gatekeeper towards the Sun body itself for my own goals. Studying, understanding, and merging solar energy into my own physical and energetic bodies to not only gain the qualities of the Sun but to become a master of it. Using it to bolster aspects in your life that needs more oomph.

Over the course of 6-7 months, beginning back in December, I found myself to be more expressive and jubilant. Comparing myself to my older self I'm able to hold more conversations with my coworkers and patients than previously. It's been difficult balancing the solar energy, as it would lead to me being more impulsive and having more energy than normal, but it's been manageable under Helios' supervision.

Recently I purchased a plate of his image from Etsy and a candle handle that has his image too. Helios seems satisfied with what I have with just those two. When it comes to offerings he doesn't require much outside of respect and genuine sincerity. This newly made alter just acts as a closer connection to him, and allows me to evoke him faster than reaching him mentally.

I invite anyone who might have an interest or even a pull towards the Sun Father and share your experiences here, even small. Helios has a strong and calm, yet radiating and jovial presence. He wishes to bring out the side of you that radiates like the Sun too, inviting not only opportunities (like my job) into your confidence and inspiration, but people as well.
