Over this past year I’ve received tons of vessels containing spells and complex orbs that assist the keeper in special ways. I’m looking for a more practical system for working with them going forward.
Would it diminish the effectiveness of the spell bindings and my workings with them if I copied all the bindings to my master vessel for future work?
I have several orbs that specifically aid the keeper for interactions, would it diminish their effectiveness if I copied their bindings to my master vessel, and used my master vessel to access them in the future?
I realize this is possibly a really beginner question, but I want to make doubly sure before I start a new process of keeping everything on my master vessel for spell and orb work.

I've been at a similar point with the number of vessels I have. I've used the transmute bag to move or copy spells with similar purposes onto a common vessel. I can say that nothing I've copied has had any diminished effect so far as I can tell.

Logically, if a CH binding is bridged to you, there's not much practical benefit to copying them - as you can work with them from anywhere.
You can summon and task the CH bindings but they should work in concert already. (The Shop resource centre explains how to work with them.)
I can see having them all on a CH master vessel being useful if you want to hold the vessel in order to connect with them all in a quiet session.
Or, I guess, if the MV is bridged but the original vessels aren't, that'd be useful, as copies on the MV would be bridged.
As the CH MV instructions include a copy option, that itself couldn't possibly be a problem, I'd have thought.
I guess you could task each copy differently. It be pretty senseless to task 2 copies to work against each other but presumably that'd be technically possible. Other than that I can't see how having a copy would cause any effectiveness problems.

Congratulations on achieving tenured status! I realize this is possibly a really beginner question, but I want to make doubly sure before I start a new process of keeping everything on my master vessel for spell and orb work.
Regarding your latest thread, I don't see it as a beginner's question but rather as seeking confirmation. To answer your query: copying the spell bindings to your master vessel (MV) does not diminish their potency.
I have numerous CH spells on my MV. The ones listed on my profile are just those we've tallied so far; there are many more, primarily from CH. I've also transferred spells from other practitioners to my MV for convenience. When I need to work with a specific spell, I use the original vessel, not the MV replica. However, carrying numerous spell bindings around isn't practical, which is why I have replicas in my MV. I currently maintain three MVs, each designated for different purposes, and I'm planning to add a fourth. While each MV can hold an unlimited number of spells and spirits, this system works well for me and my Keep, so we continue with it.
However, it's important to note about the orbs: they were created with inherent power. When you transfer the bindings, you can work with the spell bindings themselves, but the original power won't be replicated in the MV. I do travel with my orbs despite the inconvenience. I currently have 16 CH orbs and more on the way. Each of us has our unique approach to working with spells, and truly, there is no right or wrong way. If convenience is your priority, simply using your intent to invoke the binding in your MV should suffice, as all transferred bindings are automatically bridged to you. This ensures that these bindings are always accessible to you.

Awesome, I’ll have to check out the transmute bag!Hitthuginn wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 11:41 pm I've been at a similar point with the number of vessels I have. I have a bunch of spell bindings attached to vessels that aren’t bridged. Perhaps I should consider bridging them to me instead of copying them to the mv. Something I’ll contemplate. I also appreciate the reminder that the shop resource center has great info, I’ll refresh my memory on their articles. Thanks Lewk!Lewk wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 7:48 am Logically, if a CH binding is bridged to you, there's not much practical benefit to copying them - as you can work with them from anywhere.

Thank you! I was eager to try for tenureship now that I’m about to celebrate 1 year of spirit keeping. It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. I still remember finding this site, being amazed, and spending hours reading through posts in the community. Posts like yours and Lewk’s have really helped me on my journey!
Awesome, it’s a relief to know they won’t be diminished by copying. I also really relate to the spell tallying, as I’ve completely lost count of mine. Considering the feather flame bindings have 200+ spells and the special multiple practitioner offerings from CH, there’s quite a lot to keep track of! I’ve started organizing my spells into groups by type and desired outcomes. I’m discovering a newfound passion for working with them since I started reading about how to cast spells myself and appreciating them more.Tarvos wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 12:42 am

Aha, I’m really glad you mentioned the inherent power in the orbs! I had a gut feeling to stick to working with the orbs themselves instead of copying the bindings. I didn’t realize it fully at the time, but it makes sense that copying the orb bindings wouldn’t necessarily mean the inherent power is being copied too. This was a feeling of hesitation I had around copying the orbs, but couldn’t quite discern what it was about.Tarvos wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 12:42 am

Awe! That sounds fantastic! I wish I could say the same, that someone's posts have positively impacted my journey. Unfortunately, I encountered quite a bit of misinformation. Not everything shared online is accurate. Consequently, I decided to rely heavily on my Keep's knowledge, and it truly paid off with rapid progress.Sterling Birch wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 9:38 pm Thank you! Regarding the feather flame binding, it actually doesn't contain 200+ spells. Haha. In fact, there are over 200 feathers integral to the ritual, so their collective power is akin to having 200+ similar spells. A single feather flame binding typically includes about 2-4 spells, depending on the specific binding you choose. I would consider it equivalent to one enchantment or one binding.

Firstly, Ive been appreciating all of the advice on Master Vessels lately so thank you!
This is an interesting point about the power at creation of the binding, does this mean that if you got a power orb binding directly to your MV the MV would then contain the power at creation or is a physical vessel the best way to go for power orbs in general?Tarvos wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 12:42 am However, it's important to note about the orbs: they were created with inherent power. If you have the power orb directly bound to your MV, then the MV will inherently possess that power from the moment of its creation, much like possessing the physical orb itself. However, the preference for utilizing physical power orbs varies from person to person. It is not obligatory to have physical power orbs, especially if you find them redundant or confusing due to their similar appearances, or if you lack space to store them due to personal living conditions, and so on. Working with bindings is a highly individualized experience, and everyone approaches it differently. As someone with a penchant for collecting, I personally enjoy having physical items. Its really nice to have the collection of physical items agreed, especially the orbs!
However... I have a tendency to go bananas on the sales and as you suggested, space is kinda an issue for presenting them all nice haha. Add to that international delivery times and there may need to be some compromises next sale.
