General Gargoyle Questions

Okay, I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but I've read the entire thread of "What is your gargoyle personal experience?" and a few posts in this thread a few in other. So, sorry if it has been already discussed before. But aren't Gargoyle in top 10 protection?
I am referring to the list in CH encyclopaedia page "Top 10 Spirits For Protection" (https://www.creepyhollows.com/faq/index ... artlang=en)
If they are so good in protecting they should be in top ten list, if they are not so good in protecting then it makes sense they were excluded.

Oh, and I also asked Magnolia the same question (I actually mailed the support, and I got a reply from "Mortimer", here's what they said.

there are hundreds of protection spirits so werewolves not being included in this particular top ten list could be for several reason but it doesn't mean they are subpar protection spirits.

while I would agree with them that they are not subpar, still they are not top ones otherwise they would have been listed in this list. what does everyone think about this?

If you ask me, three-quarters of that list wouldn't make it onto my top ten. This isn't meant to offend anyone, it highlights the fact that our personal top ten lists will vary greatly. Each individual has unique needs and priorities when it comes to protection. Protection encompasses much more than merely ensuring a space is safe.

The absence of certain names from that list does not diminish their merit. My personal top ten is not included, but that doesn't diminish their effectiveness in their fields. Quite the contrary. Practitioners remain unaware of their races, which is why they are overlooked.

If you have an affinity for werewolves and believe they offer good protection, don't hesitate to pursue their companionship. For some, werewolves are on their top list, while for others, they don't hold the same appeal. It ultimately comes down to personal preference. CH has provided a list that you can use as a reference to assemble your own support team, or you can take your time and choose particular races that resonate with you. Be prepared for a multitude of conflicting opinions on this topic, as individuals will often recommend what has proven effective for them without considering your unique journey.

When it's comes to the 10 list... I was thinking that those included here are mainly selected because of their MAIN AIM is PROTECTION.

TOP-TEN SPIRITS FOR PROTECTION

1. Wraith (Dark Arts)
2. Volkh (Creature)
3. Duojna (Creature)
4. Chupacabra (Dark Arts)
5. Gargoyle
6. Fylgia (Creature)
7. Courtwind Angel
8. Raffin (Creature)
9. Domovoi (Dark Arts)
10. Manticore (Dark Arts)

If you look closer, 5 of them are non-social in nature, and all they are really want to be busy with is guardian duties.

Others mentioned it already, there are many types of Species out there who are absolutely could be included here in this list, but it would be not suitable for beginners.

The TEN LIST was created for NEWBIES really, so theiy would be able to sort through and get suggestions to build a healthy blend of spirit family, get ideals about groups and tasks and various categories.

I successfully used it in my time as a newbie keeper without any problems. If you look and compare those listed categories, your may find that many types are overlap with other groups of 10.

I also find other list that groups species by their main characteristics, that fits for tasking to help their Keeper with such as protection, creativity, healing, love, good luck ect.

I especially like that, because it's broader then the 10 list. Also includes 3 Realms spirits, or the individual Realms Earthen, Astral or Spiritual. That is important to know for anything you need a spirit to help with.
Especially, when it's comes to protecting your space in the realms.

Thank you for your inputs. Now, since these post are more detailed than the mail revert, it's more clear to me.
