May I ask why you're asking? Are you concerned to be able to protect yourself from unwanted influences like that? If so, general protection measures should help.

I'm wondering if behind your question is a worry that a being may be able to influence you against your will. That would be a malicious influence. CH protection items can protect against those.

As to spirits - many types have various abilities but will not act malevolently. As a precaution, you can ask your spirit family to block any being that might be producing unwanted experiences...even if there is nothing doing that.

Experiences like this may be related to our mental makeup. If it's distressing, it's well worth discussing experiences like this with a mental health professional.

Hi Alaric, i witnessed these experiences happening to other people and some of them went to mental health professionals. and their problem wasn't solved.
What i ve noticed is that some people imagine them being ugly but they are physically beautiful ! (Many people are jealous) and in other cases, people imagine them having bad smells ! But others including myself don't and i feel it's related to paranormal activity because i sense negative energy surrounding them.

What is a 10/10 to some may be a 3/10 at best to others. Certain people like certain smells, and some don't like it due to genetic makeup etc. Not everything is because of the paranormal. I highly recommend that you try to keep yourself grounded in reality. As you've mentioned that many are jealous, they could also just be saying bad things on purpose.

You're good though, right? Just making observations?

Rolling on that assumption, yes, it's possible. Especially if professional help isn't working, (but also note, it takes time to heal with mental health issues--there is no overnight cure,). The negative issues could be their own making, a cloud that obscures truth that they cloak themselves in, or there is a chance that it is a malicious entity having their way with them, setting them up to be fed from.

In such cases seeking medical attention will eventually remove the entity as their own positive willpower finally overcomes, and could also be helped along by paranormal methods.

I had that issue myself with something called 'bigorexia', (yeah, it's a thing,). I could never see myself as I truly was in a mirror, only the skinny little 130 pounder, no matter that I was actually rolling along at a rock solid 260 lbs. Decades passed, (and yeah, there was some illicit substances in use,) before I had clarity, and realized I was too big, lol.

I knew nothing of the paranormal then, but looking back, I could very well attribute a lot of it to a malicious entity, whispering to me and influencing my view of reality. A journey of faith and the resulting cleansing pulled me through and cleared my vision of myself.

Sorry, I realised I never actually got around to answering your question. The answer is, a lot of spirits! It really depends on the abilities they have, and it's not limited to any one species or race. Personally, I would think that most spirits who deal with nature and greenery will be able to do that for illusion of bad smells. As for making people look ugly to others, any with the ability for projecting illusions would generally be able to do that.

Sorry, I realised I never actually got around to answering your question. The answer is, a lot of spirits! It really depends on the abilities they have, and it's not limited to any one species or race. Personally, I would think that most spirits who deal with nature and greenery will be able to do that for illusion of bad smells. As for making people look ugly to others, any with the ability for projecting illusions would generally be able to do that.

One way that I think can be good to approach problems, where the exact cause is not certain, is to use what's called a 'diagnosis of exclusion'.

I once had a highly qualified hospital consultant - a professor - order around 20 or more tests for me, in order to try and pin down what was causing a certain deficiency in my body. Once he had ruled out all the other possible causes via the test results, which were negative, he told me what his diagnosis was. I asked him how he knew what it was. He said it was a diagnosis of exclusion.

We can use this with the paranormal too.

For example, first we can set up a strong, broad mix of protection measures. (Spirits, spell bindings, diy stuff.) Then you can use appropriate cleansing/healing measures.

Any residue remaining can be more confidently seen as related to things like our shadow self. And/or our mental health.

We can take precautionary measures or treatment for both things - without the need to pin down which of the 2 is the root cause. Often both factors can be in play.

Shadow

Our shadow includes things like mental projections relate to unresolved issues. It's a combination of both paranormal and mental/psychological processes. In fact the respected 20th century hermeticist Franz Bardon taught that our mental energy gets distorted by repeated worry or negative emotional reactions. These cause our mental energy to form projections that get stronger with repeated emotional hits. To the extent that they almost take on a life of their own.

They can in fact produce real paranormal effects. He said many people, once in the afterlife, are shocked to discover what much of what they were sure was external psychic attack turned out to have been this kind of self-cursing, for want of a better term. He called these mental energy projections Larvae. There's also a similar thing called Schema. This can be, for example if someone sees a man with dark forbidding eyes and believes they may be a black magician. Then strange things seem to happen just as if a black magician was cursing you. But it's our own mental energy that can trigger this.

Sensitive people are more prone to this. And in fact magicians, people who are paranormally active, are more prone to it - even if they know all about it.

The solution he taught was developing a form of mental vacancy, aka no mind / thought control. That allows the mental energy to calm down and return to our mental body (FB taught we have a physical body, an astral body and a mental/spiritual body.)

Returning to the idea of external beings that can influence us in ways we don't want. The usual advice seems to be to stop thinking about the being, once they and their influence have been banished. That would stop the person linking to that being once more - but it will have the added benefit of allowing one's mental energy to subside and become calm once more.

tl/dr: So my recommendation is you consider not trying to diagnose the problem you mentioned but instead treat it both as if it's an external being and as if it's related to your shadow self/projections/ or mental processes.

For the first thing, you can up your mix of protection measures. For the second, you can do shadow work - and continue with what mental health professionals have advised.

There can often be a mix of factors at play, so it may not be wise to neglect one thing in favour of the other.
