I saw a few posts about this and it got me thinking about them. I don't have any in my keep and I don't really plan to, but the concept is interesting. How they are truly genuine, take on a nurturing, motherly/fatherly role, and all that. So, for those of you who work with these kinds of beings, what are your experiences? How do they act/see you? And for those who worship them rather than work with them like this (pagans, wiccans, etc), what do they think of their devotees? Likes/dislikes? Any information would be welcome, as I am actually quite curious about it all lol.

I have a few and I have to say, mine don't expect worship nor do the motherly/fatherly type thing. Mine treat me like a close friend. They give advice when needed, and when I ignore said advice, I get chided like one would chide a close friend or relative who chose to ignore your advice. One example was I fell and hit my head, nothing serious, but was advised by Ochossi to go and have it looked at to make sure it was nothing serious. At the very least, he said, I could get something to help with any dizziness I might get. I brushed it off, thinking I was fine. The very next day, I had to leave work early due to nausea and dizziness. I had my husband drive me to the ER, to have it looked at. Once I went in for the MRI, I mentally called out to him. His reply was a half fond, half exasperated, "I'm right here, idiot. If you'd listened to me yesterday, we wouldn't be here now, would we? One of these days you'll learn to listen to me."
I really didn't expect to be called an idiot by him, but he says he only calls me that because sometimes I act like one, ignoring his advice when he's concerned about my well-being.

I work with Taoist (Chinese) and Egyptian deities a lot. I don't worship them however I treat them with great love and respect. They always give me advice on what I should do with my life and how should I deal with things in life, magickal or mundane (most especially the great goddess Lady Hathor). All of them are great and very helpful both in my mundane and spiritual or magickal journey. I also do my best to always show to them how grateful I am to have their blessings, protection and guidance.
To me, Hathor is more of like a loving and caring spiritual mother to me. I would always have her guidance and advice out of nowhere. Some of them would make their presence known to me via them letting me feel their energy (Lord Khepri and Lady Tefnut for example) I am still trying to get to know and bond with the rest of the deities that I work with on a deeper level.

I only work with Lilith, and it's in a godspouse role. She and I act as lovers, and she treats me with the utmost respect and patience, and that's the most amazing thing about her - she's nothing like any of the stories told about her, if she loves you she will love and care for you. I'm sure she's frightening if you're on her bad side though.

Did she approach you for love or how did that spouse status arise?AvalonKnight wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 2:00 am I only work with Lilith, and it's in a godspouse role. There's been a couple of years between our responses on this post, but I have been away from the site for quite a while and I'm back on my bs lolDraz’Khal wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 3:15 amDid she approach you for love or how did that spouse status arise?AvalonKnight wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 2:00 am I only work with Lilith, and it's in a godspouse role. Jokes aside, I'll respond incase you're still here too.
I met lady Lilith in 2020 during the COVID pandemic. I had been called to her it seems as I kept getting the internal pull to have an audience with her, so I pulled the trigger when I saw a listing on this site that offered a code word binding to open a portal to any immortal so I said why not and ordered it. I was used to working with her children as i had become very close to a few of her daughters, so they might have been mentally coaxing me to see her, and I was working late one night at my job in the food chiller, and I said the code word aloud (I think the fact it was the most isolated part of the premises inspired me to use it there) and right away I felt a huge energy presence around me, I remember calling out loud is anybody there and she clearly said to me telepathically "I am the one whom you seek" and I smiled and then I knew.
I've heard commonly that immortals can and do regularly deny requests for a connection with us, so I was very nervous as I really wanted her to like me so I was very relieved at this point. So I spent time getting to know her and I realised right away just how sweet and patient she was being with me, and it definitely took me by suprise because I've seen people talking on forums about how temperamental she can be or how she can literally freak the life out of someone who tries to approach her who doesn't match her energy, this all floated around my head so when I started to feel totally at ease with her around I realised our energy must match.
She since told me that I am extremely compatible with her and our goals and views align well which is the main reason I think she chose me as her godspouse. I suppose people fill different roles with different immortals but I've since realised what she said is completely true - all my goals are either her own too or her expertise. She's now helping me with confidence and she's been my coach and tutor on all my struggles, I've not gone one day without talking to Lilith since the day I called on her.
If you feel a pull towards a deity I strongly suggest buying a reading for the gods around you to find out if any that are there will be a good mentor friend or lover.

As a hard polytheist, I consider all Gods to be unique, individual entities. I find them all to be deeply nurturing who act in our best interest. Although sometimes the lessons they teach can be... painful and deeply transformative.
The very first one was Anubis, who.. very much lived up to his/Wepwawet's title of "Opener of Ways". He reeled me in and handed me right off to Set. Since then it kinda exploded and I've met and worshipped Gods from all manner of places; Greek, Egyptian, Norse, Celtic, Shinto, Aztec... They're all unique with various personalities, and its my own personal belief that they all know and talk to each other. But through it all, Set's always been there; strong and unyielding, goofy, silly, nurturing, and ferociously protective.
In terms of Aztec Gods... Tlaloc is very warm, a reassuring, fatherly presence who isn't above a joke (Seriously, a bunch of Taylor Swift fans made friendship bracelets and left them in offering to him so their Mexico concert wouldn't be cancelled by weather. Did it rain? It did not.) Huitzilopochtli is both terrifying and comforting; he's immense, but his presence feels like I have the world's toughest bodyguard at my back.
Quetzalcoatl is kind, benevolent, very sagely and wise, he's wind and light. Then there is his counterpart and his brother, Tezcatlipoca... He can be.... A lot. He is the almighty shaman, the trickster who plays both sides, and sorcerer king, and his mere presence demands respect. It's difficult to describe, really. It's like staring into the depths of the cosmos and realising how small you are compared to him. In a moment of hesitating over if anyone would raise qualm over me worshipping him, Lord Tez pretty much cut through the noise and made his stance plain;
"They worship me. I am telling you."
In a curt way that brooked no argument, and when I found a community of fellow worshipers, they pretty much told me; "Yeah, that sounds like him".

my experiences with Immortals. I dont worship them. but i do respect them like any other spirit.being. I have tried to connect to many and many have tried to connect to me first as well.
they are wonderful to work with. i wouldnt fear them unless they are BA or if you ask them over and over for something. i wouldnt do that. well it depends. what your asking for and how you are asking i guess.
but I have a few Immortals binded directly to my spirit and 3 body binded. so. for protection.
i have very powerful interactions with indra. for example. he hated something around me so much he filled me with rage until i addressed him. and he engaged whatever it was. as long as its not a being i got conjured. but i could feel how intense he is ........ probably one of the most intense beings iv expereinced.
