I really do not wish to burst your bubble but I had similar discerning intuitive thoughts and came to a conclusion myself as @Tarvos . Honestly, they are absolutely cute.

I remember, I dressed up one of my stuffed dolls into a pretty outfit and gave it to my child were cat. It's an excellent opportunity to use yours for something amazing that your keep and you'll cherish. Make it yourself infused with the paranormal.

sometimes I wonder to what extent a species’ cultural norms persist into their existence as a spirit. I’m sure it varies!

I have a large number of faeries in my keep, and the general feel I've got for them, speaking only on behalf of my own my spirit family, is that most of them are far more "lax" about cultural norms after spending time as a spirit. Not all fae want to be kept by a human in the first place, after all, so those that come through for one of us are already a "subculture" of their own so to speak. Sometimes I worry I've become a bad influence on them for the habits they have picked up from me LMAO.

But I ramble. As always, your own spirits will know what they are comfortable with so talk to them about it too and place what they say first.

That is very validating bc I have picked up much of the same from my Camelot faery and garden elf but I wasn’t sure if I was imagining my “desired answer”. But you are so right about the fact that these are already a subculture of fae that want to work with a human keeper which would make them more understanding. Especially since being bound to us gives them a much deeper insight into our energy and decision making. Plus it would make sense that, just like with humans, cultural norms don’t matter much anymore from the other side.

Trusting my intuition, I get the insight that my Fae appreciate me taking the time to learn and research their culture bc it shows I care. But that they don’t want me to miss out on opportunities to connect with them out of fear that I will disrespect them.

I think with a lot of spirits intentionality has a lot to do with it…. Then again, I had a dream/ astral experience where my Bronwyn kept calling me a Wench and laughing hysterically bc she thought it was the funniest thing ever ….. I suddenly understood why CH said we had a similar energy signature hahaha.

Oh!! And the rambling is great! Please always ramble. It is soo great to hear other keepers experiences!

Thank you both for your perspectives!! Don’t worry. No bubbles burst here! I was not attached to the idea of it being a paranormal object. I am thrilled to have the item regardless… and wanted to share it with you all. It is helpful to know that I won’t be stepping on the toes of any spirit/LE if my spirit family and I play with it and work with it.

I think the dream was significant in that it confirmed to me that I really wanted this item and that it was worth the money to me. Perhaps my companions were interested as well. (;

1. Do you sense that the clothing (atleast white/green dress and jacket) were made specifically for the display? Or that they were genuinely doll clothes at some point?

2. Do you feel the item changed hands at all?

Cultural differences are massive among the various races. Even if 'they' think they're ready for it, something is going to pop up. Quoting a song title, 'Your Love is Like Bad Medicine' to someone who is a healer got me in worlds of trouble, as an example. Not even needing to mention the potential of some YouTube videos...

Oh, and don't watch the movie 'Minotaur' if you have a minotaur companion!

Thank you Mr. Dr. Professor Disrespect That is comforting! Being upfront with them about the fact I WILL make mistakes along the way and requesting that they are patient/communicative about it is a great idea. And it is an interesting point that even if the spirit thinks they are ready there are inevitably things that will trigger them in some way. Especially with all the access to media we have now…And the fact we live in a society permeating with Christian propaganda that continues to demonize witches, spirits, and magick/paranormal…. But tbh I think that one is mostly me getting triggered

I don’t have any vampire companions but I have wondered how they would feel about the show What We Do in the Shadows lol.

Oooh Spidetwick Chronicles could be a fun one to revisit for a movie night with the fae folk.

Don't mistake that dream for confirmation. It simply reflected your daily thoughts back to your subconscious.

I once dreamed of wearing an expensive watch. It was a limited edition, with only a certain amount made in the world. You have to wait about 9 months for delivery once you order it. I had been looking at watches all day that day, so the dream made sense. The next day, I bought the watch, thinking it's a confirmation like you do now. But I was mistaken! Haha.

Of course, my companions influenced the timeline of delivery. I received my watch 7 months ahead of everyone else. However, I didn't care much for the watch. It still sits unopened in its box a year later. Lol.

Your item is new. There’s no energy to it. The doll clothes it came with aren't made for doll clothes specifically. They are just small versions meant for magical beings. Don't read too deeply into it. It’s simply a new item from an antique store. That's all. Many artists make stuff aiming for these kinds of customers, who like to shop at antique stores. But it's not antique or has changed hands at all. It's brand new. It's just made “antique" on purpose.

I do see your point 100%! But in this case the dream was confirmation for me in that my subconscious sorted out my feelings about the item and I woke up confident in my decision to purchase it… specifically bc I realized that part of what made it valuable to me was that it was at the antique mall with no context. Perhaps clarity would be a better word than confirmation. I just felt so sure.
It brings me alot of joy!
And I don’t feel disappointed that it is an empty vessel. Instead im excited that I have this clear canvas to enchant and imbue with my magick and use to bond with my Spirit Family!
