The vampire first appeared among the Slavs, but spread across the globe in mere centuries. Your neighbor may be a practicing member of the guild. This is everything you need to know about the real-life Nosferatu around us.

Are you here to promote your own video? Let me answer it for you. Yes, you do. Sadly, this is not the place for it.
I honestly didn’t watch that video because I don’t want my feeds filled with nonsense, so I found a summary instead. None of the vampire stories mentioned are real, not even the ones about human hybrids.
In the past, human hybrid vampires would go to great lengths to protect their secrets and they would kill to do it. If there were too many witnesses, which is a rare case, their clan would step in to help dispose of the bodies. Nobody gets to live to share the real tales, unless you practiced magick back then.
I think a fantasy post like this doesn't really offer any real insights into vampires. They often just add to the myths without providing any substance.

So... in your opinion, the identification of the Strigoi in the historical record does not compare in importance to their identification by psychic ability.

Maybe it's more that what survives in written form from centuries ago may be just as inaccurate and trope-ridden as modern film & tv, although there can be nuggets of truth among all the folklore that has been passed down to us.NightTerrors wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 9:07 am So... in your opinion, the identification of the Strigoi in the historical record does not compare in importance to their identification by psychic ability.

You anticipate my first argument, and I am gratified to read a reference early in the five-part tome to which you provided a link (thank you), to the "non-paranormal records of history". Good insight into Stoker here. While it would be hard to convince me of the validity of the section on genetics, as I consider vampirism an acquired trait, I admire the holistic approach of the author. I applaud the FAQ in part four, with its answers to myth, and the analysis of common dictionary entries which follows.
