Spiritual Sensitivity while our spirits used to be alive?

So I’ve been thinking lately about how some people are naturally more spiritually inclined or more “aware” of the spirits around them. And I started to wonder if any the spirits that we, as keepers, interact with were spiritually deaf or weren’t very good at sensing spirits when they were alive?
For me, Im pretty spiritually deaf (I’m getting better though) so opening everything up is a bit of a process for me. That being said, do you guys know if your spirits faced any similar struggles in their lives? And if they did, what advice or wisdom did they impart? Im currently asking my spirit family and for the most part, they just tell me to take my time and not be too hard on myself for what I perceive to be a failure (it’s a learning experience!)

I'm not going to be very good at answering your main question. (Sorry.) But I can absolutely back up what your spirits have told you. ...Which if you think about it means you're on the right track.

Some people are more aware of the spiritual because they were born with their senses open. This sensitivity comes from various factors, but I won’t delve into those now since they’re not the focus of the thread here. You have to recognize that spirits exist in different planes than ours. You’re living on Earth, there's that. To communicate with them, you need to train specific abilities to facilitate a conversation. It's not something that happens automatically.

Many individuals dedicate their whole lives to learning these abilities, and that’s perfectly normal. While there’s a trend of wanting instant results, patience is key. Think of it like you're speaking English now, if you want to understand Italian, you either learn the language or find a translator. Don’t think you can master listening to Italian in just a day. Same with hearing your spirits.

No, spirits don't struggle with this. They are from the other plane, so they can hear and communicate with each other by default. I don't like using the word “spiritual deaf," it feels like it emphasizes the human’s inability to hear. I prefer saying that "senses aren’t open," as this feels more accurate.

We aren’t born in their plane. Keep it in mind. So comparing our experiences isn’t entirely fair. It’s like comparing a star in the cosmos to a flower blooming on Earth. They are two completely different forms of life thriving in their respective realms.

Even if spirits faced connection issues (which they don’t), that wouldn’t solve your struggles. Yours come from being new on this journey. There’s a lot for you to learn and evolve in order to connect with those on other planes, and that process takes time. The duration differs for each one of us. It's not your fault. Everyone goes through this, except for those who are born with their senses open. Yet, they have their own unique challenges too.

Our companions absolutely could struggle with spiritual connection in their lifetimes before they became spirits. They were living beings just like you and me, with all the mundane trials, biases, and blockages subject to being a living creature. Obviously all that changes after becoming a spirit, but that's another story.

I know, that it can be really challenging to communicate with your spirits. I have made the same experience throughout my journey of now 11 years. I am not born with open senses and I have tried different spells that could enhance spirit communication and spirit bonding, but it still isn't easy. But patience is definitely key.

Ya’ll have no idea how happy everyone’s responses have made me, I feel like you all have hit the nail on the head on exactly how I’ve been feeling lately. Sometimes I also fall victim to wanting things to happen instantly or quickly even though im 24 years old and should’ve moved past that lol. But I’ll try to take this all a day at a time and be a bit more patient with myself. I really appreciate you guys’ answers!
