Anyone have any suggestions for Energy Work books that worked for you when you started on it? I want to try inviting my spirits to join me in practicing it, but I want to really get my foot in the door on it.

There are are all sorts of things that can get called energy work. What do you think of when you ask about it?

I don't mean to bore anyone who's heard me say this before but I've gradually acquired experience of energy work over a long time... more than. 50 years now. I followed a guru for 10 years doing.a lot of daily meditation.. For part of that time I lived in an ashram, There was a lot of energy there. Then I discovered Taoist chi work. There were new energies to get used to. Then Japanese Ki skills related to Aikido, Psychic Healing- working with lots of different energjes. Then occult stuff: the energies of the Egyotian deities; the Greek deities; Celtic deities, Energies of magic. Earth, Water, Air & Fire energjes. I could go on.

Actually I can see anything through the lens of energy.

This may be in my innate nature, My 2nd LSD trio, which was in 1972, was entheogenic: at its peak everything seemed to dissolve into energy.

I hesitate to recommend books etc without knowing which niche aspect of energy work you're interested in,

In the meantime you may be be interested in these...

Thank you for the recommendations, I’ll make sure I check them out! Also when I talk about energy work I was thinking more along the lines of the way CH describes the three bodies and connecting with those and also Robert Bruce’s body imaging technique. It’s just hard for me to grasp because it’s all explained in a way Im having a hard time understanding.

You're welcome.

I have Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics but more as a reference book. I do think his approach is unique in the sense that it's not really like other people's. So I think what might be useful for you would be to research more among the community or communities of those who practice his Way of doing things.

That's because to my mind his techniques will not either be found or understood better by studying other people's books etc on energy techniques.

A quick Google located this article. Have you seen it before?

BUT...CH's 3 body approach...

I can't think of how I personally would use Robert Bruce's body imaging technique as a tool to engage with CH's 3 bodies.

I have taken advantage of his body image technique in a very basic way at times to change the way my mind holds an idea of how a specific part of the body feels. Eg My attention is stuck on a tense part of the body and I decide to imagine it can expand, move around etc. That changes subtly the nerve sensations and the micro muscular muscles change, blood flow alters slightly and that part of the body acquires a different tone of feeling. But when I do that I'm also drawing on other 'body work' skills, such as 'nei kung' (internal martial art skills like jin, chi & shen) & Koichi Tohei's Ki skills. The nei Kung skills I've grasped gradually over 45 years.

I mention that to show I have at least some idea of RB's body imaging technique.

I don't know if his techniques will be useful for you to engage with CH''s 3 bodies but that wouldn't work for me.

If you have the money, you might want to keep in mind the Personalised Book of Power.

You get a unique name for each of your 3 bodies. This has helped me get In touch with them more than previously. To the extent I can have dialogues with each one.(Disclaimer: I've been able to hold dialogues with my physical body, amongst other things for many years now )

You might want to start by getting CH 3 body related items.

There's also this.

https://shop.creepyhollows.com/your-3-bodies-what-are-they-.html

CH's 3 bodies approach differs from other 3 body approaches. So I think CH things are the best route to engaging with them. They're at the very least subtly different; at the worst distinctly different.

The first paranormal 3 body approach I learned about was in Franz Bardon's Initiation Into Hermetics. But I wouldn't recommend that unless you were prepared to pretty much devote your daily life to it for many years, as he counseled against taking shortcuts with his system.

In that the 3 bodies are: physical. astral and spiritual/mental. He revealed his system in the 1950s. Commentators have seen some correspondence with the Chinese '3 treasures' of Jing, Chi & Shen...which are raw physical vitality that has a centre in the abdomen; higher than that frequency which has a centre in the chest area; and even higher mental/spiritual energy that has a centre in the centre of the head roughly at 3rd eye height.

These neatly correspond to both FB's and CH's 3 bodies but they're not identical. I always work with each on their own terms.

The quality / tone of each and their functionality differs. So I wouldn't mix them up.

Good luck. I hope some of that proves to be useful info.

My super power would be...: See spirits in true form

Thank you @Alaric for your comments here and for @Sholeran for starting this thread.

Well, before I rejected myself with everything relevant here, (supernatural side) of myself, I collected books (hard copies) over 30 years ago. I remember reading most of these books that I can get as E books.

Robert Bruce was an Aussie 😊 author, and passed away few years ago. He was an amazing healer and more. Here is an additional link, referring to his book recommendations too.

I used to work with energy healing and trained up in that field, before I gave it all up and became a Christian over 30 years ago. The truth was... nothing disappeared. It's just I didn't bothered to use my skills until 12 years ago, when cancer hit me. Long story short, I am grateful for these 'universal wake up calls ' that came through again, this time in this thread. <3
