I live in a house of a social housing company and because the foundation and all over living conditions in this house are bad to dangerous, they offered me a nice little flat not to far away from where I live now.
Now comes my question: The middle-aged lady, who rented this house died in the same flat and her body was only found after three days.
The housing corporation will of course renovate the flat, but I am a little spooked out by this story, which is unfortunately true.

Is there anything, I have to do to be sure that her spirit will not linger in the flat anymore? Is there something else, I should consider to be sure, there will be no unexpected spiritua visitor?

Will it be safe to move in there?

So many questions and I am without any answers. Thanks very much for any help.

So, speaking for my own personal opinions I think it would be perfectly okay to move in with just a basic cleansing of the place. The spirit of the lady is likely to have her own affairs to handle as a spirit, and family or friends to be around. But if she is lingering around the property, I Imagine you will be able to get along perfectly fine so long as you are respectful to the place. I would not worry about her spirit "lingering" unless it was causing problems or if it had serious attachments (like if she was suddenly murdered or something). Otherwise, these things just happen and are a part of life as well as death.

Tbh there are so many spirits around 24-7 that it is nearly impossible to be somewhere without them either passing through or hanging out. I bought a 2 bedroom condo many years ago that had a murder story attached to it (no one would buy for months). I chose the master bedroom (where she was murdered) as my bedroom.
The percentage occurrence that spirits are hostile tend to be much lower than our scardycat minds make it out to be.

Any new place that I move to I just make sure to be respectful. Im of the mindset that spirits are my friends and I share my wine!

I've not had them upset with me personally.
Sometimes people also get scared from activity, thinking the being is acting hostile when they are just saying hey. I'm not saying don't be cautious. But humans are usually scared of the paranormal and can project fears.

You can maintain a positive energy field in your home by keeping the energy clean, not bringing toxic people over, doing regular cleaning on yourself, your things and your magickals. This positive energy usually helps to deter negative interactions.

Good protection also comes from multiple angles. I like to use traps and buffers, wards and purging fields, in multiple layers throughout the perimeter. Being in charge of your own protection can also do wonders for your confidence and peace of mind.

Maybe start with a basic cleansing, then see if you can request your keep to protect you? In my experience, most human spirits don't really do any harm, they just kinda linger and slowly fade away without interference.

Growing up i lived in a house where the owner had passed away and was not found for a few days. I never recall having trouble with a lingering human spirit. In fact, its pretty common to live in a place where a previous resident passed away. Most human spirits don't seem to cause too much trouble. Like others have been saying, just cleanse, manage your space, and be respectful and you'll probably be fine.

It's probably good spiritual practice to do our own cleaning of a new home, both physical and spiritual. But this can be done in a positive, straightforward way, not from a place of fear or hostility. A simple, common thing is to psychically cleanse a place of others' energies and own the space for yourself. It is now your home, after all.

But unbound spirits etc are not inherently malicious or hostile.

At the same time, it's our own living space and we have the right to claim it for ourselves. If the deceased person's spirit seems to be hanging around and you're uncomfortable with that, the first step is to politely explain to the spirit that it is your home now and ask them to kindly stay away . You can also task your spirt family with keeping them away.

Spiritual/cleansing of a home after someone has died there is probably slightly more obviously a good idea than simply moving into somewhere where that hasn't happened. But it may not be a problem.

I don’t see this as a sad story at all. Everyone faces death eventually, and we’ll all end up in the same situation as her, passing away in our own spaces. There’s nothing eerie about that.

Her spirit is not there anymore. There’s no human living in that flat anymore, so what’s there for her to return to? Unless someone were to commit a murder just to claim the flat and move in themselves, there’s really no reason for her to come back.

How do you feel about your spirits? Do you trust them, or are you kind of meh? You have many around you, they can help protect you from unwanted energies, or uninvited unbounds, and help cleanse your new space.
