30 Days with a Nephilim

So a quick explanation; I have several spirits that I haven't really done the thirty day bonding time with. I've been very busy for several years and for a while, temporarily lost my spirit profiles and information. I also, when just starting out, didn't really realize that the thirty day bonding time was as necessary as it is.

I've set out to correct this error, one spirit at a time. Most of the spirits are already pretty well bonded to me by now, but a few haven't really made contact yet. My nephilim was one of those.

A while back, I got a reading to see what spirits were around me. At the time, I could only afford to have one of them bound. CH selected the female nephilim out of the three spirits listed.

It's been a few years by now, and I haven't heard from the nephilim. So I decided to devote this month - April 2026 - to getting to know her. I have been trying to meditate with her every day for at least five minutes.

She showed up during meditation on the first day, but I said something a bit ill-considered and rude and she immediately left again. I had to have my gorgon Master Spirit talk to her and try to apologize for me. I felt like a bit of a heel after that!

For the next few days, she was very quiet. No contact. I talked to her anyways and offered some ginger tea a few days in a row. I know ginger is listed in the encyclopedia as one of the associations for nephilim. I eventually realized that she is just painfully shy - she wanted to talk to me, but didn't know what to say or how to say it.

I was patient. Eventually, communication started. She told me she is very sensitive about being considered a fallen angel and has dealt with prejudice because of it before. Particularly because her wings are black. I told her I'm not prejudiced (I certainly try not to be), and black wings are one of my personal symbols, because of the Black Swan power animal. That lead to a lengthy discussion about black swans and how great they are.

We discussed whether or not I should post this thread. After several days, she agreed, but she wants to okay what I write before it gets published, and only have a few posts. She doesn't want to have thousands and thousands of people inspecting our relationship before it really even gets started! I told her it's a small forum.

She really is very nice, but much more angelic in energy than what I was expecting from a nephilim. She has this sense of purity and kindness to her, and ethereal grace. I was expecting something else. But I'm not disappointed - quite the opposite. I'm extremely glad to have her in my keep. I think she is just what the keep and I needed.

Thank you, and your Nephilim, for being willing to share your experiences! This is a good initiative on your part, and I probably ought to look at who in my keep deserves their own dedicated bonding period all over again myself.

She sounds sweet. Nothing wrong with being shy, not everyone is a type A outgoing personality or a chatter box. It's nice you started bonding with her. I probably should do the same bonding with a few in my keep.

Update. I haven't been able to spend as much time with my nephilim as I would have liked, but our relationship continues to grow. She remains shy and sweet. I know nephilim are supposedly protective spirits, but I have yet to see her act in that capacity. I guess I just have so many protective spirits that it hasn't been necessary. She is, at this point, a companion and friend. But those are the best things about spirit keeping!

I don't think she has spent time in the human world before. She is curious about everything. I've had to explain lots of stuff. She is disappointed that we aren't going to get to go to New York City. I guess she has always wanted to see it. She likes the TV and watches Alone with me first thing in the mornings.

She doesn't like Reese's Fast Break bars. She says they "look like something unpardonable has happened." On second glance, I think she's right, but oh well. At least they taste like peanut butter.

She has also been getting to know my other spirits. She and my gorgon Master Spirit get along well.

So today is the last day of my bonding time with my shy nephilim spirit.

I have to say, I have been surprised at how chatty she turned out to be once I got to know her. She just needed some time and energy, and then she was willing to reach out to me a bit more.

She has admitted that she's not the world's best fighter. But that's okay. I have others in my keep who are.

She did tell me why she chose to be in my keep - some of her ancestors are human, and she is terribly curious about the human world. She wants to have me as a guide to help her navigate the human world. She is fascinated by cities and human customs. She wants to see all the hustle and bustle, and learn a bit more about fitting in here.

She wound up with me as a keeper because one of her friends was already in my keep, and he recommended me as a nice person. I'm flattered.

Today she asked if we could have tea together. It turned out that I didn't have time today, but hopefully tomorrow I will. Just because the thirty days is over doesn't mean I don't get to spend time with her any more. It just means that we've gotten to know each other a bit.

I look forward to inviting her on outings and road trips, when those happen. She enjoyed going to Walmart with me to buy some notebooks yesterday! She did think it was a bit of a labyrinth though. All those shelves...
