Hello! This isn't a review, so please take down if it violates any rules but does anyone know what happened to the shop? The Iris Morningstar shop has been down since I've noticed last week. It was up a a few weeks ago. I haven't purchased but was pretty keen on some listings, so I'm just curious if they moved sites. Thanks!

I didn't go through with the purchase and I do not recommend them.

I was interested in a listing and contacted them. They were having a 50% off sale. They told me the listed price was already discounted. Later I received a PayPal invoice for it and the total price was 212% more than the listed price. I noticed that they manually added an item to the invoice called 'processing fee' and when I questioned it they blamed it on PayPal issues and removed it.


The new price was 85% more than the listed price which they claimed was plus taxes and fees.



I was suspicious of the pricing because taxes and fees doesn't double the price of something so I cancelled the order. They claimed the pricing issues was because of PayPal.

Later someone showed me that they also manually added 'tax' and claimed it was 'PayPal fees 15%'. So the listing was 113% more than the listed price.

The website also has taxes. I am not charging for spiritual anything. I am being paid for art and write ups which requires tax to be paid. Every state and shop is different. I also had this same PayPal issue with another client which is how I knew about it. I sometimes use a third party processor. I apologized for the inconvenience and fixed it immediately. The listing in question was originally over $150 I put the discounted price in the listing. Also this is dis....cord which isn't allowed on here...anyway and my public picture is on that this... Shouldn't be allowed. I did not consent to you showing my face.

For further clarification, you can find the discounts not stacking as well as the part about taxes and fees in the discount section of my shop policies upon entering my shop. It is clearly explained there.

Linking to an outside chat server is not allowed on CH forums, but there is plenty of precedence for snapshots of communications being allowed as evidence in transactions (and CH usually wants evidence for claims).

I was considering purchasing a binding from this shop, but the piling on of fees including a "Paypal Processing fee" as a line item ( which happens to be against their terms of service, btw) is highly concerning. At 50% discount, the item in that transaction should have been $17.50 before the actual tax and Paypal fee (which is around 3 percent, not a near doubling of the total)

Furthermore the item was not $35 it was $65 and as I had advised in the chat already listed at the 50% off price.

We are reviewing the thread for which section is belongs in, but the customer's review/explanation will either remain here or in the Seller Discussion thread. Sinnamon hasn't broken any rules by posting this experience.

In terms of the picture, not only is it so small you can't make out any distinguishing details, but if you publicly post your personal photograph on any public board or social platform, anyone can take a screenshot or video of the photo and republish it. If you don't want your photo to possibly end up on other public venues then you should not post it on a public platform as giant and well-trafficked as dis-cord.
