Santet is a type of Indonesian black magick focusing on curses or hexes, defined as the action/effort to harm/endanger other people remotely via the usage of black magick.

There are various kinds of santet, and some of the popular ones (source: https://kisahasalusul.blogspot.com/2015 ... ntara.html ) are the following:

1. Santet Susuk Konde (hair bun charm needle santet)
Originated from the rural of East Java, this santet is said to make the target feel sharp pain within his/her body. There are stories saying that with X-ray scan, the target's body is seen to have sharp objects e.g. needle, nail, razor, wire, etc


2. Santet Buhul Cacing Abing (dead relative's worm knot santet)
This santet comes from the rural of Sumatra, is said to make the target suddenly suffer from mysterios illness for a long time. The aim is to make the target keep suffering from such illness until he/she dies.


3. Santet Banyuwangi Osing (Osing tribe santet)
Originated from Banyuwangi, East Java, this santet is said to seal part of the target's body, which is his/her genital in order to make the taget unable to have sex with other people. It is usually used by wives who have unfaithful husbands.


4. Santet Lowo Ireng (black bat santet)
Originated from Banyuwangi, East Java, this santet is a malignant curse said to take the target's life via manifesting fatal accidents in streets, house, workplaces, etc. This one attacks suddenly and almost impossible to defend against.


5. Santet Pelesit Matimang (white death pelesit santet)
Pelesit is a type of spirit inherited by shamanic lineage. Originated from Dayak tribe of Borneo, this santet is said to attack the target mentally making him/her suddenly lose his/her mind or go crazy. It is said that this santet can find the target wherever he/she is.


6. Santet Buntu Jodoh (mate stopping santet)
This santet is said to make the target unable to find love or marriage partner forever. It is usually used by those who want revenge from being refused or experiencing breakup by the target.


7. Santet Suku Badui (Badui tribe santet)
This santet comes from Badui tribe of West Java, is a malignant one said to make the target's body totally and suddenly paralyzed. The purpose is to make the target suffer until he/she dies.


8. Santet Biriang (yellowish-red skin rash santet)
Originated from either Minang tribe of Sumatra or Banyuwangi, East Java, this santet is said to make the target feel itchy on his/her whole body. Over time, the skin will be broken, rotted and festered.


9. Santet Paku Jiwo (spirit spike santet)
Originated from Central Java, this santet is said to make the target unable to have success in his/her work, business, and any other efforts, whether via bad lucks or accidents.


10. Santet Bambu Apus (remove bamboo santet)
This santet is said to make the target unable to urinate and defecate, which will cause illness. Over time, the target will die suffering from pain with bloated stomach.


11. Santet Kuyang (kuyang santet)
Kuyang is a type of spirit in Indonesia, similar to krasue in Thailand. This santet is said to make the target become forgetful, absentminded, and confused by having the kuyang steal half of the target's spirit, making him/her mentally challenged. It is used by those who want revenge, or who want to gain upperhand in competition (business, love, etc).

Mostly the known remedy is religion-based, i.e. prayers etc. If it really happens, it'd be best to contact professional.
