Alfnif are Woodland nymphs who lived in communities thousands-strong throughout the woodlands and forests of the Earth. They are typically 5′-7′ tall, have varying hair, eye, and skin color based on their geographical location and time period, and usually have well-conditioned and athletic bodies. They are shape-shifters who can shift into animal forms or humanesque forms to suit their needs.
They were usually sensual in nature; often luring travelers to sexual escapades on the forest floor. They often had close friendships and relationships with other species like Elves, Fae, early Humans, etc. They enjoyed the opportunity of spontaneous form and pleasure. The Alfnif had magical command of flora around them, and would often create their clothing and accessories through use of flora. They were protective of all forms of life in their homeland from the tiniest of creatures to the gigantic creatures that called the forest home. They can appear and vanish in the blink of the eye, sometimes only appearing as a mist that can lay the path out of the forest for those lost in its trees.
