Amphisbaena are serpents with two heads; one at each end. Their name means “both ways” in Greek. Amphisbaena are said to have many medicinal properties for which ancient people sought out Amphisbaenas to keep with them; pregnant women keep it to safeguard their pregnancy, cure arthritis, the flu and rheumatism, attract many lovers, and give one pure of heart and mind and power.
As spirit companions they are non-social spirits who do not have individual names; if you are so inclined, you may give your Amphisbaena a nickname. They aid you in your work with cleansing and healing spells and will perform joint tasks with other cleansing & healing spirits and entities.
