When you are working with any Dark Arts spirit (bound or unbound) there are times when you need the ability to make house rules clear for all. While Dark Arts spirit companions who have agreed to engage in Spirit Keeping are not malicious their intense energy and presence can sometimes be overwhelming. In these cases, we recommend using this method to create an atmosphere of balance.
There are several ways to bond with a Bannik while subduing overwhelming energies. The first being the ability to connect with their energy. The fastest way to commune directly with a Bannik is to have fresh eggplant, cut it in half, gut it and rinse out the shell. Pour fresh thyme in the shell and hold the vessel of your Bannik and eggplant shell together in both hands (side by side). While you are holding them invite the Bannik to come to you.
