The Tampi is a creature discovered by a great practitioner. Anjenou was a woman who lived in the hills of Southern France. She was a master witch and mystic who made an unusual discovery during a journey in the mountains in AD 1542. She discovered a Tampi – a creature that looks a great deal like a butterfly attached to an open blossomed flower. A Tampi barely flies as the weight of both its parts is greater than its wings can carry.
A Tampi hovers over land and travels only a short distance from where it was born during its lifetime. Most Tampi live around 400 years, though their lifespan could vary based on the time period in which it lived.
When discovered by anyone sentient species like Humans, Elves, Fae, etc. the Tampi will land in their hands. If the person was good the Tampi would stay with them forever; rewarding them with gifts of Prosperity, Good Luck, Happiness, Love and Power. However, if the Tampi were to land in the hands of someone who is inherently bad the Tampi would sting them, leaving a mark on their hands forever to show their bad character to others without question. A Tampi landed in Anjenou’s hands and was her lifetime companion. Her Tampi companion lived with Anjenou in her home for 67 years of Anjenou’s life. About a year before Anjenou passed away she enchanted them both with a binding spell that would keep them closely bound for eternity.
