The Gorgon are an ancient species of human-snake form, they have sharp fangs and hair of venomous snakes, the most famous Gorgon being Medusa.  They were a species that lived throughout the majority of the Earth through the course of their existence; primarily in favorable climates.  They are notable for their appearance - typically a female face & torso, with a serpent bottom half, or bipedal legs covered in scales.  The snakes that crown their heads are solely under their control & cannot be swayed by any outside source.  Depending on the evolution of Gorgon at different periods of time & evolution, Gorgons have the ability to spit venom, turn their target to stone, or put their targets into an influential trance.

As spirit companions, they can be difficult to work with, and are generally recommended for experienced Keepers.  Gorgons provide an unseen look into the Astral Realm, and working with the strongest source of life force. Gorgon spirit companions are formidable guardians who can protect you from any and all curses and evil. Gorgon companions can also provide vengeance and their presence is usually enough to deter enemies from taking action against you with any form of magick or Black Arts source.

Associations can be used to create a closer connection with the entity. By recognizing their associations with the Earth and Universe you can use any combination of these tools to create treats, rituals, and bonding exercises between you.

You can purchase candles, incense, cones, oils, sprays, etc scented with the Scent, Herb, or Foliage they are associated with. You can purchase statuary, paintings, prints, textiles, etc with the Color, Animal, or Foliage they are associated with and keep them in your home where the entity will see them.

Secret to Keeping

These Dark Arts secrets were previously not known outside of family and Creepy Hollows collectors. They are secrets discovered by Ash and he has generously agreed to share them with all collectors because having the right secret and being able to properly handle DA spirits is more important.

Caring for your Gorgon is the same as caring for any other spirit except being a creature of duality. There is a way to keep your Gorgon under control if you feel it is becoming too energetic, too strong in manifestation or too "in your face" there is a way to subdue her. Never name a Gorgon, it is not good to do so, if she wants to reveal a name to you she will but usually Keeper?s just refer to them by Gorgon. If you feel she is getting too energetic place her on a mirror overnight - by morning she?ll be as subdued as an old cat. Only use this technique if you feel the Gorgon is becoming too strong for your liking- some collectors like their spirits to be "on the go" all the time so it is your judgment call.
